TV Service Agreement
or
"All The Fine Print"
As you
can tell, we offer the very best prices on satellite equipment
anywhere. The only way we can bring you these great prices is if
everyone reads and understands the fine print that goes along
with buying this equipment. The following rules must be
followed. Thanks!
By installing and /or
activating the DISH Network system, you agree to the following.
- EchoStar system prices are
good for first time DISH Network subscribers ONLY and Dish Network's Terms
and Conditions are incorporated herein by
reference.
- You
may NOT purchase
an EchoStar system and use it as a secondary or slave receiver
on an existing system. Any system purchased and used this way
will be charged an additional $200. I know it seems odd to pay
more for a slave receiver than an entire system, but there is a
good reason for that. It all comes down to what our final cost
is for any particular item. EchoStar pays the retailer an
activation commission which is higher for a system than it is
for a slave receiver. This makes our final cost on a system
cheaper than a receiver. This is passed on to the customer in
the form of very low prices. Now, if someone purchased a
complete system and used it as a slave receiver on an existing
system, we wouldn't receive the necessary activation fee. That
would ruin the whole deal, and we'd have to charge you an
additional $200. I'd prefer not to have to do that to anyone.
- All
EchoStar systems MUST
be activated and maintained in good standing with one of the
DISH Networks basic packages for at least 12 months. The packages are
America's Top 50, America's Top100/CD, America's Top150/CD or the
full Spanish language package
(DISH Latino Dos). Any additional programming can be
added. If you do not maintain one of these required packages for
12 months without any interruptions or disconnects, then you
will be charged an additional $200. DISH does not hesitate to
charge us back the $200 fee if one of our customers doesn't
subscribe for the required length of time, so we have no choice
but to charge the customer back too.
- We
have a 10% ($25.00 minimum) re-stocking fee on returns. There is
a certain amount of work and cost involved with selling and then
receiving a system back because the customer didn't want it. I
think a small fee is fair.
- AL's
TV reserves the right to charge your credit card any of the
above charges if you do not comply with these rules.
I'm
sure you understand the reasons for these rules. They are there
for one reason only - to ensure that we can continue to offer
the absolute best prices on our equipment anywhere!
